The Blue Ox 2-Point Weight Distribution Hitch is a revolutionary hitch that not only handles weight distribution but sway control as well by using the combination of loaded spring bars and friction L brackets. As the trailer tries to sway the steel-on-steel friction of the L brackets work to control the trailer sway. The 2-Point Hitch will also conquer weight distribution at the same time. It puts more weight on the towing vehicle’s front tires which increases steering control and braking, giving you a safer and easier driving experience. With the 2-Point Weight Distribution Hitch the weight is evenly dispersed between the trailer and tow vehicle via connecting spring bars. Towing spring bars play a critical role in ensuring a safe and smooth ride. To distribute weight and control sway while towing the trailer is attached to the hitch at the ball mount and the weight is evenly dispersed between the trailer and tow vehicle.

The Blue Ox 2-Point Weight Distribution Hitch is compatible with 2″ receivers and will work with standard or underslung couplers. The underslung coupler option is for trailers with couplers welded to the bottom of the frame. The 2-Point hitch has a 6-hole shank and a maximum gross towing weight of 12,000 lbs. It is available for 3 different tongue weights – 600 lbs., 800 lbs., and 1,200 lbs. It is constructed from heavy-duty steel with a black powder coat finish. It comes pre-installed with a chrome-plated hitch ball. The 600 lbs. tongue weight hitch will come with a 2″ 7.5K rated ball while the 800 lbs. and 1,200 lbs. hitches come with a 2-5/16″ 12K rated ball.
